Angela Cullen Bio
Angela Cullen is a physiotherapist and former field hockey player from New Zealand. She joined the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team in 2015 and has worked for Hintsa Performance ever since.
As Lewis Hamilton’s physiotherapist and confidante, she is well known. Hamilton has won the Formula One world championship seven times.
Cullen played hockey for New Zealand at the international level between the ages of 15 and 21. In New Zealand’s Devonport, he was born in 1974. She holds degrees in both health science and physiotherapy.
When employed as a senior physiotherapist at the English Institute of Sport in London, Cullen provided support to the British Olympic team, UK Athletics, the British triathlon team, and other business clients.
She worked with sprinters for the British Olympic team’s 4 x 100-meter relay squad, which went on to win a gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens, as well as sprinters for the 100- and 200-meter races.
Cullen began cycling 155 miles a day from Tierra del Fuego to Colombia in 2006.
Afterwards, she served as a senior advisor at SPARC High Performance in New Zealand. The New Zealand Academy of Sport and Sport New Zealand were additional partners with Cullen.

In 2015, Cullen started working for Hintsa Performance. She served as Hamilton’s physiotherapist and assistant in place of his mentor, Aki Hintsa, who had passed away.
In 2016, Cullen, who is commonly referred to as his driver and confidante, took over.
On March 17, 2023, it was made known that Angela was quitting and would no longer work with Lewis Hamilton.
