Mr. Chisom Lennard, who was taken by shooters on Saturday and was the Campaign Director for the All Progressives Congress, APC in the Ahoada-West Local Government Area of Rivers State, has been killed.
Unknown attackers in police uniforms are said to have taken the dead man while he was voting at Ibagwa polling unit 2, Ward 10, in Ahoada West LGA.
When the event happened, Lennard was voting in the governorship and state assembly elections.
Reports say that the APC leader was trying to stop the gunmen from stealing voting materials when he was taken away to a place nobody knows.
Darlington Nwauju, who is the state publicity secretary for the party, told Daily Trust on Sunday that the event did happen.

Nwauju said, “He was taken away from his polling place while voting was going on.
“No one knew where he was taken. His body was found yesterday (Saturday) late in the evening.
He was the caretaker head of the APC LGA and was getting his PhD at Rivers State University.
