After just one month of marriage, a lady was granted her wish for divorce, but the court ordered her to return the dowry and the bag of clothing that the guy had given her.
Maryam Dahiru, a Nigerian lady, filed a petition for a divorce from her husband Salihu Yakubu on October 12 at a Sharia Court in the city of Magajin Gari, Kaduna.
News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the judge Malam Rilwanu Kyaudai acknowledged the divorce through Khul’i (divorce by mutual Agreement).
But he insisted that Dahiru return her dowry to her ex-husband: a bag full of clothing (except the ones she already had).
