Stonebwoy has gone beserk on social media while addressing allegations that he is financially benefiting from Gabby Darko, a stalwart of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) which is why he has gone hush on the harsh economic situation prevailing in the country.
He maintains that these are untruths that have been spread to further evil partisan political propaganda. This development was triggered by a post made by a stauch member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The Twitter user going by the handle NDCpidgintweets posted a picture of Stonebwoy and Gabby Darko aboard an airplane, implying that Stonebwoy had political ties to the well-known attorney.
The tweets posted;
“Y’all wondering why most of our celebs no go come talk about how their fans are suffering, right? This is a picture of @stonebwoy and @GabbyDarko in a private jet to Las Vegas. Your man dey cashout from these thieves so he no Dey feel the heat like we.”
Shortly after he sighted the post, the boss of one of the biggest fan bases in Ghana took strong exception to the malicious reportage and duly punched holes in it in a quick rebuttal.
Stonebwoy stated, “Ignorance and lies because of partisan politics. This is a simple photo of an astute lawyer and businessman on a commercial flight. I dare you to prove my cash out. My fans and I face the hardship forever.”
“You are only shouting but patiently waiting to come to power. Movinya.”
