Multiparty democracy should be abolished, in fact, it’s a SCAM– Jacob Osei Yeboah

Jacob Osei Osei Yeboah (JOY), an independent candidate for president in the 2020 elections, has stated that multiparty democracy is not the greatest form of government and wants it to be scrapped from our constitution.

While dishing his views to buttress his posture on the Key Points on TV3 on October 21st, Mr. Osei Yeboah claimed that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), which have dominated national governance, have abused the constitution owing to this system of governance.

“We need to change the constitution, until the constitution is changed we can’t develop,” he said.

He added “the NDC and the NPP are benefiting from the defects in the Constitution.

“Multiparty democracy is a worldwide scam, those who claim to be practicing it don’t believe in it.”

Contributing to the subject, the Founder of the National Interest Movement Dr. Abu Sakara said Ghana needs a long-term national development plan in order to ensure the needed development for its people.

As mentioned by 3News, Dr. Abu Sakara said the trend where one group of people form a government and implement a particular plan only for another set of people to take over to also come up with their own plan is not helping the country.

He explained on the same show that the nation is faced with a crisis situation which must first of all be contained.

The Presidential Candidate for the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) in the 2012 elections said “Accept and admit that no one group of people in Ghana can solve the problems. We have to come together, build consensus, face reality and come up with long-term plan plan”

“We need a reformed development agenda that looks at the fundamentals. Lashing the [President] may give us some satisfaction but it won’t solve the fundamental problem.

“Right now, we have a crisis situation, the first is to contain it.”
