George Roger Waters was born on September 6, 1943. He is an English composer and singer-songwriter. Waters also founded the rock band called “Pink Floyd” in 1965.

Waters left the band in 1983 due to creative differences, resulting in a legal battle over the use of the band’s name and material. They later reached an out-of-court settlement.

Waters, as a solo artist, staged one of the largest rock concerts in history, The Wall – Live in Berlin, in 1990, which drew 450,000 people.
He released a number of projects, including The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking, Radio K.A.O.S, Amused To Death, and Is This the Life We Really Want.
Pink Floyd bandmates Nick Mason, Richard Wright, and David Gilmour reunited with Waters in 2015 for the Live 8 global awareness event, the group’s only appearance with Waters since 1981.
He has toured extensively as a solo act since 1999, but his Wall Live tour from 2010 to 2013 was the highest-grossing solo tour at the time.

As a member of Pink Floyd, Waters was inducted into the US Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996 and the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2005.
