#TemaIsRed: Photos and videos of the royal burial rites in Tema

Some videos and photos of the burial rites for the Tema chief Osonnaa Nii Adjeu Kraku II have popped up on social media.

An announcement from the royal family to the residents of Tema concerning the burial rites o the Ga customs was made public a few days ago where people in the community were asked to stay indoors.

The burial rites commenced on the 26th of Wednesday, 2022 at 7 pm. The instructions disclosed that residents of Tema in the Greater Accra Region were to stay indoors and experience the back out from 7 pm to 12 am.

In view of the burial rites that were supposed to be held, management and companies were to schedule all night workers to report to work at 5 pm and also close morning staff as early as 3 pm in order to get to their various homes before the rites began.

There have been videos from the burial rites for the late chief s women cloth in red and black cloth were seen carrying pots with fire inside; singing and reciting some incantations as part of the ritual.
