Victor Osimhen is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Serie A club Napoli and the Nigeria national team. Considered one of the best strikers in the world, he is known for his speed, clinical finishing and athleticism.

In Lagos, Osimhen was born. (he grew up in Olusosun to parents from Edo State). Didier Drogba was his footballing hero when he was younger.
At the Ultimate Strikers Academy, which is located in Lagos, Nigeria, Osimhen began his professional career. Osimhen signed a pre-contract with VfL Wolfsburg in January 2016 after garnering attention for his exploits at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup. The agreement stated that he would begin playing for the team in January 2017.
Osimhen became the most expensive African transfer to a date when Serie A club Napoli confirmed his signing on July 31, 2020, for a club-record fee of €70 million that could rise to €80 million with add-ons.
Osimhen got his first goal for Napoli in a 4-1 victory over Atalanta on October 17, 2020. After winning, he held up a shirt that demanded a stop to the ongoing police brutality in his native Nigeria.

Osimhen aided in another goal on January 13, 2023, as Napoli defeated Juventus 5-1. He scored his 100th professional goal on February 17, 2023, to help Napoli defeat Sassuolo 2-0. He also became the first player in Napoli history to score in seven straight league games during the three-point period.
