What Are Beatitudes In Matthew 5:1-12?
The Beatitudes appears in Matthew 5. And this is how Jesus narrated it as recorded in the Bible.
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.”

As already explained, the beatitudes are blessings and I will give an explanation to each.
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven“: The poor in spirit does not mean not having money but rather to explain humility. So Jesus was saying those who humble themselves to the will of God will enter into the Kingdom of God which is in Heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted: When we lose a love one, we mourn. So when we mourn because of the things of God, Jesus is saying, we shall receive comfort.
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth: Meek means to be submissive. When you submit to the will of God, Jesus is saying it will go well with you in what you do.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled: Righteousness is what attract God. So, if you so desire to be right in your dealings with God, he will do your wish for you.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy: We must be forgiving and merciful to everyone. This is the very nature of God. Once we do, God will also show us mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God: Once we do away with every sinful thoughts and its desire, God will show himself to us.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God: Peace is vital for humans. If you help to do away with fights among people or share the word of God which also brings peace, God will see you as his child.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven: If you die for your faith in God, you will get a new home in Heaven after resurrection.
