God’s wrath always descends on sinners and all evildoers. John 3:36 does not say, “The wrath of God will come on [the disobedient].” He rather says, “Whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”

Prayer for God’s Wrath

Dear Lord, You should punish us for our sins. We ask for Your pardon even though our transgressions are deserving of Your anger. We apologize for our propensity for selfishness. It is obvious that we have nothing to offer You, yet You give freely to us.
